SEAL ISLAND

PUFFIN LOAFING LEDGE

At Seal Island, Maine, USA. This live puffin cam overlooks the “loafing ledge” on Seal Island, 21 miles off the coast of Maine. The loafing ledge is a prime spot for puffins to congregate, with plenty of “exit routes” in every direction in case a hawk or gull attacks.

PUFFIN BURROW WEBCAM

Puffin Burrow – Exterior View. Located 21 miles off the coast of Maine on Seal Island, this live puffin cam shows the comings and goings of a pair puffin parents, leaving their burrow and returning with bills full of fish to feed their chick, nestled safely inside. We hope to catch the moment at summer’s end when the puffling fledges, leaving home for the first and last time, going out to sea alone to return to Seal Island in two or three years!

PUFFIN BURROW THIS LIVE PUFFIN CAM

Interior gives an intimate glimpse inside a puffin burrow, where puffins nest and breed during the spring and summer months. The video stream is occasionally affected by factors such as changes in tide, reflection off the sea surface and dense fog. If the stream is interrupted, stay tuned–the signal will be restored quickly!

PUFFIN BOULDER BERM WEB CAM

This live cam gives an above-ground view of the densest puffin community on the island–more than 100 puffin pairs nest here! Careful observers just might see puffin parents enter their burrows from above after running and hopping over these boulders.
