Live Railcam: Boone Iowa – Cam 1 (West)

This camera is located at milepost 203 of the Union Pacific Boone Subdivision. On the Boone Sub you can see 10 – 25 trains a day (used to be at least 60 a day), this cam is at the west end of the Boone Yard which has a dedicated yard switching crew and road trains stop at this end of the yard to pick up and drop off cars off of main track 2 most days so there is more rail traffic here then at any other location on the Boone Sub! The Boone sub runs between Missouri Valley Iowa and Boone Iowa, which previously was the Chicago North Western, West Iowa Subdivision. Boone is a no horn zone. The double main line Kate Shelly High Bridge is 4 miles to the West
