TAITUNG

DUOLIANG TRAIN STATION

After this station was abolished, the roads previously connected to the platform have been removed. Now people can only stand on the roof of the station to overlook the Pacific scenery. Even so, its charm still remains. Although this station is not used any more, there are still trains passing. When a train rapidly passes in front into the cave, along with the background of blue ocean, rail fans would definitely be crazy for here. Has great sound of the Pacific Ocean.

TAITUNG JINLUN BRIDGE

This real-time video was built by the Transportation and Tourism Development Office of Taitung County Government. The Jinlun Bridge on the South Link Road was once known as the most beautiful viaduct in Taiwan. It spans the coast and has an unobstructed view of the Pacific Ocean, just like driving on the sea, the dreamy scenery makes people flock to it.

TAITUNG SHANYUAN BAY

Shanyuan Bay is the longest sandy beach on the east coast of Taiwan. It is significant in terms of cultural and historic importance. It is the indigenous land for three Amis tribes, Jialulan, Citong, and Dulan. In the Amis language, the beach is called “Fudafudak,” which means sparkling. Indigenous activities such as gathering food and festivals take place here. Shanyuan Bay is a key part of Dulan and only 12 kilometers away from downtown Taitung. The short 15 minute drive makes Shanyuan Bay easily accessible. On the way to the beach, visitors pass by Xiaoyeliu.

TAITUNG JINZUN LIVE CAMERA IN TAIWAN

Jinzun is located in Donghe Township and is named after its bay that is shaped like an ancient Chinese wine glass. Jinzun has a three-kilometer stretch of sandy beach. TAITUNG FUGANG FISHING PORT

Fugang Fishing Port Fugang Fishing Harbor, formerly known as Jialulan Harbor, is known for its proximity to the Amis Jialulan Tribal Village. It is the second largest fishing port in Taitung and is also an important transfer port for Green Island and Lanyu. There are many boats, visitors, and fishermen coming and going by here every day, making it a lively port. Fugang Fishing Harbor is only 6 kilometers away from Taitung City. With its geographical location, coupled with the fresh daily catch of seafood, as well as the surrounding attractions such as Xiaoyeliu and Jialulan Coast, Fugang Fishing Harbor serves multiple functions of sightseeing, recreation, and commercial fishing, and has become a must-visit attraction for visitors to Taitung! TAITUNG FUSHAN AREA

Fushan waters located in Beinan Township, Taitung and only 12 kilometers away from Taitung’s downtown, the vast blue sea, soft sandy beach, and stunning intertidal zone with coral reefs earned this place a nickname of “Taiwanese Koh Samui.” 

The early fishery resources in the Fushan waters were rich. However, the ecology of the waters was destroyed due to overfishing about a decade ago. To remedy the damages, Fushan Fishery Resource Conservation Area was established in the Fushan Waters in 2005 to protect fish habitats and restore marine ecology. Now, it has become a role model for the restoration of marine ecology across the country and it is also a popular attraction on the East Coast. Walking on the ecological trail in the Fushan Fishery Resource Conservation Area, you can enjoy the Pacific Ocean breeze, see hermit crabs, crabs, and shrimps foraging on the beach.

Taitung Huayuan Bridge Live Camera

Huayuan Sunrise Observation Deck, which is located on the Old Provincial Highway 9, only opened in 2021. It is an emerging scenic spot along the coast of Taitung for watching the sea and the sunrise. Cihu Memorial Sculpture Park Live Cam

The Cihu Memorial Sculpture Park is situated near the Cihu Parking Lot. In the park there are some 200 bronze statues of Chiang Kai-shek’s donated by various localities of Taiwan. Among the statues are familiar-looking standing and half-bust bronze statues, which were donated mostly by schools and government organizations. There are also statues of CKS seated and horse-riding. Every statue has its own artistic value. Interconnected foot trails lead to various statues in the park. There are also elegant Chinese garden-style gardens with bridges and water below them.

Formerly known as Kantouwu Port, Yongan Fishing Harbor is located at the estuary of Shezu Creek. A great recreational place for families to cycle together and feast on seafood, it is not far from the Green Tunnel and is easily accessible by bicycle. Within Yongan Fishing Harbor, there is a tourist fish market. The building is in the shape of a lobster with two transparent spiral staircases.
